Random Control Ensemble

Das Prinzip des Random Control Ensemble ist improvisierte Musik, die sich aus klassisch inspirierter Motivik und dem spontanen Loopen dieser speist. Akustisch gespielte Instrumente werden live aufgenommen, zerhackt, wiederholt, verfremdet und den MusikerInnen zurückgespielt. Dadurch entsteht ein Kreislauf aus Improvisation, der sich stetig weiterentwickelt. Er kann von verträumten Soundsphären bis zu Noise-artiger Maschinenmusik reichen. Nichts ist festgelegt, jeder entscheidet aus dem Moment heraus. Dadurch ist kein Konzert wie das andere.

The principle of the Random Control Ensemble is improvised music, which is fed by classically inspired motifs and the spontaneous looping of these. Instruments played acoustically are recorded live, chopped up, repeated, distorted and played back to the musicians. This creates a cycle of improvisation that is constantly evolving. It can range from dreamy sound spheres to noise-like machine music. Nothing is fixed, everyone decides at the moment. This means that no two concerts are the same.
